John Andrew Discography

John Andrew, whose full name is John Andrew Suchocki, first started writing songs as a child in the early 1970s. The purchase of a cassette 4-track recorder in the early 1980s dragged him deeper into the production of pure crystalline twee. He was then rescued in the mid 1980s by the front man for the indie-pop band The Silent Boys, Wallace Dietz, who introduced him to the sounds of Joy Division, Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, The Cure, New Order, and many more. With his newly found awareness but palpable musical innocence, John Andrew moved forward to become the lead guitarist for The Silent Boys. Parallel to TSB, however, he continued to refine his solo songwriting efforts. By 2005, cassettes gave way to CDs, five of which have since been produced. Echos of his deep past have been hard to shake, but the result is a unique blend. Download the many free mp3's and make your own assessment. Thanks for listening!
